Last September, Ryan spent three days in Sardinia shooting the debut campaign for STRIKE, a new sport fishing footwear brand with a focus on marine conservation. The shoot captured conservation-driven catch-and-release fishing, where fish are tagged to help researchers track activity and support ocean health.

STRIKE started 15 years ago as a conversation among friends about the need for better fishing footwear. Over time, it became a collaboration between shoemakers and a close-knit fishing community, built on a shared respect for the sea. There is to create something that works with the ocean, not against it – right down to the natural rubber soles that return nutrients to the water.
