We can feel it but it’s far harder to capture on camera, often looking contrived, forced, and unnatural.

Ryan’s very personal project portrays the genuine intimacy and connection between couples. It was shot during the pandemic, a time when relationships are placed under even greater pressure.

Spending considerable time with each couple, Ryan patiently waited and managed to document the real moments of unspoken closeness. Moments those of us outside the relationship, never normally get to see.
