Glebe Farm by Kate Peters

Glebe Farm, Cambridgeshire, has been in the Walrond family for 200 years. Kate spent a weekend being shown the ropes by Rob and Lizzie who run their organic farm raising cattle, sheep and pigs and growing a wide variety of vegetables, selling directly to their customers.

Rob and Lizzie have seen first hand the huge changes that have taken place in the UK with the introduction of chemical fertilisers and the pressure of supermarkets to cut costs, the most worrying however is the extreme weather patterns caused by climate change.

Their organic and sustainable approach to farming has helped them thrive, but without systematic change on climate policy the future of farming in the UK faces more uncertainty and pressure.
