From Wicket to Willow by Kate Peters

Kate was commissioned by ESPN to photograph the cricket bat making process.

The willow trees are grown for 20 or so years before they are ready to start the bat-making process. You can make approximately 40 bats per tree. Every year, J.S. Wright and Sons whom are based in Great Lees, plant 25,000 new trees and fell about 8,000.
