Felicity Crawshaw’s portrait in The Winston Taylor Photo Portrait Prize
Felicity’s portrait of Huw will be showing in The Winston Taylor Photo Portrait Prize (formerly Taylor Wessing) at the National Portrait Gallery opening on 5th November.
Felicity photographed Huw while documenting the lambing season at Slade Farm, a family run organic farm rooted in a sustainable approach to agriculture. Huw is the nephew of Polly and Graeme, the third generation of tenant farmers on this land. His family lives in a cottage on the farm.
Felicity share that in this moment, Huw seemed to distil the values of Slade Farm, reflecting the care and commitment behind farming with nature and the hands-on approach that reconnects people with food, the land, and the wider environment.
