CRXSS: Integrating AI into our workflow with Kelvin Murray – “SHIP”

Following on from last week’s post of the first instalment of “Obsession”, where I shared “Jet” by Kelvin Murray / Little Shadow. Today, I am sharing “Ship”.

Without giving you the whole spiel again; here is a summary of key points about this project and why we created it:

1. Kelvin Murray wanted to shoot people who made these magnificent models but couldn’t easily find real people IRL; so we did what we do in the commercial world: we re-created the essence of the story.
2. We storyboarded, pre-visualised the scenes, cast & styled the talent, shot at Malcolm Ryan’s Pre-lit green screen studios and then entered a world of VFX combining the live action with AI.
3. Through planned lighting design and a well-ordered schedule, we were able to shoot stills & motion of “Jet, Ship, & Monster Truck” in a day.
