Big Ben – 30th March 2020 – 11:23am as seen by Atomic 14

Unbelievable sights in London today. What with the lockdown – London has become completely overgrown…

In truth, a couple of years ago Atomic 14 created this image of Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.

First of all, a photographic stitch was created of all the backplates to create a huge canvas. Then a new sky was comped in.

Now for the really clever bit: 3D Ivy was grown over all objects, including Big Ben and modelled in 3d so the plant could meander naturally. Also, 3D plant models were used for scattering over the roads and foreground of Westminster Bridge.
