The Hungry Ghost by Sebastian Nevols

A collaboration with designer @byemiliechen to create the artwork for The Hungry Ghost – a queer horror rom-com by Mei Leng Yew.

Working entirely through analogue techniques, Sebastian and Émilie used a splice-repeat printing process to elongate Mei Mac’s tongue, referencing traditional Chinese depictions of hungry ghosts while pushing back against the growing reliance on AI-generated imagery in theatre campaigns. The result is playful, tactile and rooted in craft.
