The Blackburn Pendulum – by Levon Biss

Whilst waiting for some new Amber specimens to arrive Levon decided to build a 9ft x 9ft x 9ft cube in his studio to support a Blackburn Pendulum. These images are the result of 17-minute exposure looking up at a small LED light on the base of the Blackburn pendulum and it shows the harmonic motion created by the swing of the pendulum as it loses energy.
